Polyurethane floor systems offer excellent surface properties, such as high chemical resistance, together with antibacterial and aesthetic function.
The technology uses a variety of systems based on polyurethane resins, selected according to the required specifications and use.
Excellent elasticity of these systems is used to bridge microcracks in concrete structures. The technology is therefore widely used as a watertight sealing membrane for underground parking in residential and shopping buildings.
The technology provides top performance in aggressive environments owing to high chemical resistance to acids of up to 92 % concentration and resistance to lyes. The surface is also resistant to solvents, oil products and other dangerous substances which may occur in manufacture and storage buildings.
Polyurethane systems can be applied onto both new and existing surfaces including severely contaminated bases (lubricant contaminated environments), as well as on new machine polished floors, cured concrete, eroded or otherwise damaged concrete surfaces, old coatings, ceramic tiling, terrazzo, asphalt concrete, etc.
The polyurethane screed technology is widely used in food, chemical, pharmaceutical, electrotechnical, and textile industry, in underground parking and recently, owing to its aesthetic properties, also in public buildings.
The polyurethane systems use different types of mixtures and components for each application according to physical, chemical and aesthetic specifications. These types include: polyurethane coatings, polyurethane membranes (for hydroinsulation), screeds with a layer thickness from 2 to 4.5 mm, special screeds with a layer thickness from 6 to 12 mm and specialised systems, such as athletic surfaces (with rubber granulate) or heat resistant polyurethane screeds.
